EPILOGUES / ^2 / BEYOND CANON NOTE. . .

For those of you who are canon familiar, you may recall Homestuck sort of having a messy conclusion with a bunch of offshoot endings that are both canon and not canon.. somehow. I don't fully understand it myself, but this sort of information I don't really follow or consider "canon" in my roleplaying style.. since these offshoots are written by entirely different people altogether. And let's face it, it's bad. I take Dirk from somewhere in Homestuck canon proper or sometime before the Epilogues on Earth C. I never include anything else in my writing.

CONTENT WARNINGS. . .

I can fit so much trauma and self loathing into this bad boy. Here's a nonexhaustive list. Let me know if I need to exclude anything:
Self-deprecation, suicide themes, decapitation, internalized homophobia, apocalypse/end of humanity themes, crude humor, excessive language, familial abuse, talking lightly/joking of death, manipulation themes (especially in a relationship sense), underage drinking/addiction, sex work.

4TH WALLING PERMISSIONS. . .

Homestuck often references a lot of pop culture in its writing. Like, a ton. Dirk especially is into anime, as his shades are inspired by Kamina from Gurenn Lagann. There's a likelihood Dirk may recognize your character, especially if it's from a 2009-2016 era. Of course, this is something I can easily ignore. It's more than likely something I'll ignore from default, but you can leave special permissions here clarifying if you'd want your character recognized at all or not.

TEXTING PERMISSIONS. . .

In Homestuck, a large majority of the canon is written through chatlogs by the characters talking to one another. Sometimes, they have a particular way of typing along with a color. Fortunately, Dirk uses perfect punctuation and syntax, but he often types in an orange font (hex code #f2a400.) He also has an Auto Responder who is essentially a clone of his 13 year old self who sometimes will speak on his behalf. The Auto Responder uses a red font (hex code #e00707.) I'll be defaulting to normal text unless otherwise stated. Let me know if you want the colors or not for texting threads.

EXPLANATION OF POWERS. . .

God Tier Immortality: He has obtained the status of a god in his world. As such, he cannot die, unless his death is heroic or just. Again, something that will be nerfed in games.

Prince of Heart: His role as a Prince of Heart gives him an ability where he can meddle with people's souls. He can splinter his soul into many fragments of himself along with tearing out a person's soul and manipulating it. Something like this is definitely nerfed in game, but let me know if you wanna play with it somehow outside of a game setting.

Flight: He can fly like Superman. Common ability with being godtier status.

Sylladex: In Homestuck, characters have an inventory ability, essentially a hammerspace where they store items. Dirk's is called a Tech-Hop Fetch Modus, and in order to store or retrieve items, he must assemble the items in a category where they rhyme, and rap to retrieve them.

Flashstepping: He's incredibly fast on his feet, fast enough to make objects move seemingly on their own.

Mind Protection: He's super intelligent, but he also has the ability to be unaffected by psychic abilities or anything that may alter his mind.
